The proposal of this project is to test a design approach to the Bay Area´s shoreline configuration, considering the upcoming implementation of long-term actions related to sea-level rise, flood control and water quality. The shoreline proposal - which includes multifunctional levees, retention and oxidation ponds - will be the basis for proposing a new master plan for housing development and design solutions on and with the land. The project synthesize a design solution that will both improve the shoreline and place affordable housing and urban infrastructure in South San Francisco Bay.
